We are hiring for our client, a leading global law firm, who are seeking to appoint a Competition Associate in London to join their highly regarded Competition, Regulation and Trade team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented associate looking to join a practice known for delivering market-leading expertise across a full spectrum of complex, high-profile and international competition matters.
Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, the successful Competition Associate will support on high-level non-contentious work, including merger control, antitrust, and foreign direct investment, while also gaining experience in contentious matters such as competition litigation and private enforcement.

The Role:

Advise on a wide range of non-contentious competition matters including merger control, foreign direct investment, antitrust investigations and regulatory advice

Support on contentious matters, especially in relation to private enforcement and appeals

Engage in client contact and relationship management with a variety of high-profile international clients

Draft and contribute to legal precedents, client alerts, marketing material, and knowledge sharing across the group

Work closely with partners and senior lawyers across different jurisdictions to deliver exceptional legal advice
The Person:

2–5 years’ post-qualified experience within a reputable UK or European competition practice

Solid academic background (minimum 2:1 or equivalent), with strong analytical and drafting skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships and work within an international team

Demonstrated interest in competition and trade law and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment

Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business development
