Commercial Finance Analyst

Description:

Hunter Savage are delighted to be partnering with a leading company in the FMCG industry who serve a client base through the UK & Ireland, seeking a Commercial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role will be responsible for providing weekly and monthly commercial reports, conduct business opportunity analysis, and support revenue and margin growth for the Commercial team to meet targets.

The Role:

• Work closely with the Commercial Team to make sure finance and commercial activities are well-coordinated and collaborative.
• Break down sales and margin data weekly and monthly, offering clear insights with comments and KPI summaries.
• Help everyone navigate through reporting tools like Qlik and Microsoft Navision for easier access to financial and commercial info.
• Team up with commercial folks to check out potential business opportunities and support efforts to grow revenue and improve margins.
• Be a key player in supporting sales forecasts, budgets, and making sure finance and commercial processes run smoother for better efficiency and quality KPI reporting.
• Check how well promotional plans are working, keep an eye on performance, and chip in with inflation recovery analysis. Also, lend a hand in organising products for a more efficient lineup.

The Person:

• Part-qualified accountant or equivalent by experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role and a solid accounting foundation.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, familiar with industry-specific financial challenges.
• Strong financial modelling skills, proficient in pivot tables, and effective data manipulation.
• Structured and organised approach to tasks, ensuring meticulous and accurate financial processes.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging with individuals at all organisational levels.
• Proven ability to plan and organise multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and meet conflicting demands and deadlines.
