Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Description
We are hiring for our client who is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering team in Dungannon. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career with 1–3 years’ industry experience to gain exposure to new product development projects, drive improvements, and support innovative mobile screening solutions. The successful Electrical Engineer will be involved in the design of control systems, developing PLC software, and supporting the introduction of new technology, while working alongside a collaborative and experienced engineering team.

The Role

Support new product development projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification

Design DC electrical control systems to meet industry standards and safety legislation

Develop and test PLC & HMI software

Write functional specifications and maintain accurate technical documentation

Support product improvements, cost reduction, and reliability initiatives

Occasionally assist with commissioning, installation, and testing on-site and in company facilities

Contribute to continuous improvement and introduction of new technologies
The Person
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent qualification)

Ideally 1–3 years’ experience in an engineering role, preferably within the heavy equipment or manufacturing industry

Knowledge of DC electrical systems and PLC programming

Familiarity with automation of hydraulic systems and electrical control panel design

Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and manage tasks independently

Strong communication and teamwork skills
