Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Hourly rate: £13.94 

Location: Newry, Northern Ireland 

Job Function:
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be instrumental in upholding and improving the high-quality standards of our client’s products, ensuring consistency and customer satisfaction across production lines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work towards achieving Production KPIs related to output, waste, and cost.

  • Execute production plans, ensuring adherence to running orders and volume targets.

  • Train new employees and agency workers on department-specific procedures.

  • Promote good housekeeping practices and lead by example in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures at all times.

  • Verify that products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.

  • Evaluate incoming raw materials to ensure they meet the necessary quality criteria.

  • Collect and prepare product samples for laboratory analysis.

  • Perform regular quality checks on the production line to ensure consistent product quality.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control processes and findings.

  • Ensure full adherence to food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as operations, technical, and hygiene to ensure smooth execution of duties.

  • A proactive and creative approach to challenges.

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility towards tasks and issues.

  • Driven to perform tasks to the highest standards and inspire others to do the same.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Flexible approach to working hours, adapting to the business’s needs.
