Head of Legal - Energy Sector

We’re working with a rapidly expanding renewable energy business seeking a Head of Legal to lead their Irish legal function. Based in Waterford, this is a strategic opportunity for a senior solicitor to take ownership of legal operations across corporate, commercial, regulatory and transactional matters, supporting an ambitious, international growth journey.

The Role
As Head of Legal, you will:
• Advise the senior leadership team on legal strategy and corporate governance
• Lead on M&A, project finance, joint ventures and commercial transactions
• Draft and negotiate key contracts (including PPAs, EPC and O&M agreements)
• Oversee compliance with Irish and EU regulatory frameworks
• Act as Company Secretary for Irish entities
• Manage external counsel and collaborate across international legal teams
• Provide commercial legal input to strategic decisions

The Person
• 4+ years’ PQE with experience in corporate, commercial or energy law
• Confident advising at senior level and managing legal risk proactively
• Background in renewable energy, infrastructure or project finance advantageous
• Strong communication, leadership and drafting skills
• Commercially minded, collaborative and adaptable
