Mechanical Design Engineer
Cookstown
£35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist team within the Water division. Reporting to the Design Manager, you’ll work on varied and challenging projects for some of the world’s leading brands. The Role:
- Design mechanical systems for projects in accordance with client specifications
- Develop Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using Plant 3D
- Create and coordinate 3D models using Revit
- Produce general arrangement drawings, sections, elevations, and fabrication detail drawings
- Perform pump calculations, equipment schedules, and write technical specifications
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical input
- Prepare technical submissions for client review
- Attend regular project design and site meetings
- Comply with ISO Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety procedures
The Person:
- Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years’ experience in a mechanical design role, ideally in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Skilled in 3D Modelling software such as Revit, Inventor, or SolidWorks
- Experience in fabrication design
