Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Description:
We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing engineering business, who are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their Operations and Supply Chain team. Based at their modern manufacturing site, this full-time, permanent role is critical to the efficient flow of materials across the facility. The successful Warehouse Operative will play an essential role in receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching components used in the manufacture of heavy industrial equipment.

The Role:
-
Load and unload deliveries, inspecting items and ensuring accurate system entry

Book all received goods promptly into the inventory system and ensure they are stored safely and correctly

Pick and issue materials for production according to job lists and internal requests

Assemble and dispatch orders, including wrapping, labelling and preparing for shipment

Conduct stock counts and report any discrepancies

Maintain clean and organised storage areas in line with safety procedures
-
Support purchasing of consumables and keep track of stock levels
-
Operate a forklift and other equipment as needed

Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders

Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
The Person:
-
Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or stores environment
-
GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
-
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

Computer literacy including MS Office and inventory systems
-
Proactive and reliable with strong attention to detail
-
Organised and calm under pressure, with good communication skills

Able to work well within a team and support safe working practices
