We are hiring for our client, a prominent international law firm, who is looking to hire an experienced Planning & Environmental Lawyer to join their team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a 5-7 years’ PQE lawyer with experience in planning and infrastructure consenting law.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to take a leading role in the firm’s growing planning and infrastructure practice. From the outset, you will be involved in significant client-facing work and have the opportunity to help shape the direction of the practice. You will also have a chance to collaborate with an established, highly skilled team across various jurisdictions, offering you a broad exposure to high-profile projects.

The Role:

  • Advise clients on regulatory consents for infrastructure projects, including environmental impact assessments and planning permissions.

  • Provide advice on judicial review processes and defence of planning and environmental prosecutions.

  • Collaborate with real estate teams on planning due diligence for M&A projects.

  • Manage complex matters independently while supporting junior team members.

  • Stay ahead of evolving market demands and develop expertise in emerging sectors like green energy and infrastructure development.

The Person:

  • 5-7 years PQE in planning and environmental law, ideally with infrastructure consenting experience.

  • Experience in advising on environmental impact assessments and other relevant regulatory matters.

  • Strong ability to build client relationships and work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.

  • Enthusiastic and proactive in expanding your knowledge base and staying at the forefront of industry trends.
