An excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join a local engineering company at an exciting time of expansion. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will play key role in designing and developing products that meet customer needs with a focus on continuous improvement

The Role
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into innovative, manufacturable product designs.
- Use CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Continuously evaluate and optimise designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability and efficiency while maintaining product integrity.
- Work in collaboration with Senior Design Engineers to identify and select appropriate materials for the manufacturing process, considering costs and performance factors.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Create comprehensive design documentation, including BOM’s, design reports and other relevant documentation.
The Person
- A degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience using SolidWorks
