Job Title: Hygiene Shift Supervisor

Location: Belfast
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time (Rotational Shifts: Day and Night)

Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Hygiene Team Leader to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Belfast. This role involves overseeing a team across a 4-shift rotation, ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards while maintaining compliance with industry-specific health, safety, and hygiene regulations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready environment at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of hygiene operatives, ensuring tasks are allocated and completed to meet required standards.
  • Oversee the deep cleaning of the factory, ensuring all areas comply with ABSS, BRC, and customer-specific standards.
  • Monitor the teams performance, providing coaching and support to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures, ensuring staff are working safely at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness in site facilities, including changing areas, offices, canteen, and site perimeter.
  • Ensure the site remains in audit-ready condition, supporting internal and external audits as needed.
  • Manage waste and recycling processes efficiently, in line with company standards.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 3 yearsexperience within an FMCG environment is essential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven experience leading a team.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workloads efficiently.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing hygiene systems and controlling chemicals and equipment is desirable.
  • Waste and recycling management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in delivering training in areas such as Health & Safety, IOSH, Internal Auditing, Risk Assessments, and Pest Management is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with working with auditors and conducting performance reviews is desirable.
