Engineering / Maintenance Manager Position

A leading food manufacturer located in the Monaghan area is currently seeking an Engineering / Maintenance Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, tailored to the experience of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all site maintenance, ensuring machinery operates at peak efficiency and that buildings are well-maintained. This includes scheduling and conducting preventative maintenance, managing mechanical and electrical breakdowns, and overseeing the work of contractors and suppliers.
• Lead the maintenance team effectively, ensuring all maintenance activities are planned and executed on schedule, including the resolution of issues and management of small and Large Capex projects.
• Conduct safety checks and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure the wellbeing of all staff and visitors.
• Develop strategies for improving machine reliability and production efficiency, identifying cost-saving opportunities within the maintenance budget.
• Maintain strong relationships with third-party contractors and manage associated costs.
• Engage in project management for new installations and refurbishments and provide support for team projects and other tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Electrical / Mechanical Engineer
• Requires a minimum of three years of experience in a leadership role within a maintenance engineering team in a manufacturing environment.
• Should have comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment and safety standards, with a proven track record of applying structured problem-solving skills.
• Strong Project management experience
