Financial Accountant – Monaghan (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

I am delighted to be retained by a leading FMCG company in Monaghan who are seeking to speak with experienced Financial Accountants, in particular people that are coming with good experience preparing and posting month end journals and working with budget holders to produce forecasts and capex plans. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience from Big Four or similar sized firms. This position will be a key hire in to a team of five people within a larger 30 person function.

The Role:

 

• Preparation and posting of month end journals
• Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Prep of month end and quarter P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing outputs from Accounts Payable, Banking and Accounts receivable
• Preparing annual and quarterly accounts required under the solicitors’ regulations, including resolution of any queries or issues
• Review intercompany balances and ensure all balances net to zero
• Provide financial data and analysis to Review machine costings

 

The Person:

 

• Strong Excel skills and at least 3yrs PQE in industry
• ACA Chartered or ACCA/CIMA Certified Accountant
• Good track record of system expertise and process improvements
• Knowledge of UK and IFRS
• Ability to handle a high volume of work, demonstrating excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for building relationships, influencing upwards and laterally, taking ownership of tasks, and keeping colleagues informed of progress. 
• High level of commercial acumen
• Manufacturing environment experience ideal but not essential
