Part-Time Financial Controller
We are hiring for our client, an established organisation in the Newry area, as they seek to appoint an experienced Part-Time Financial Controller for an initial six-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a meaningful senior-level assignment with genuine flexibility. The requirement is approximately 20 hours per week, which can be structured across half-days or approximately two and a half full days.

The Role
As Part-Time Financial Controller, you will:
- Support and facilitate the month-end close process
- Prepare monthly management reports
- Assist with the annual budgeting process
- Develop sales workbooks and populate profit and loss forecasts
- Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and quality-check rebate trackers
- Prepare Intrastat returns
- Undertake detailed Excel-based financial analysis
- Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation
- Coordinate with the existing finance team to ensure deadlines are met
- Work with increasing autonomy once familiar with the company’s processes
The Person
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior management accounting experience
- Strong month-end, budgeting and management-reporting skills
- Advanced Excel capability
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
- A relevant accounting qualification or substantial equivalent experience
- Previous experience within a commercially focused organisation
