Competition Solicitor 

We are working with a leading international law firm in Dublin that is continuing to grow its highly regarded Competition & Procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with 1–4 years’ PQE to join a market-leading practice advising high-profile domestic and international clients on complex Irish and EU competition matters.

The Role

You will join a growing and ambitious team advising clients across a broad range of Irish and EU competition and regulatory matters, including:

  • Merger control notifications before the CCPC
  • Cartel and competition investigations
  • Abuse of dominance and anti-competitive practices
  • Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Screening and Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR)
  • Public procurement and regulatory law matters
  • Dawn raid preparation and competition compliance audits
  • Advising major domestic and multinational clients across sectors including retail, telecoms, hospitality, infrastructure and manufacturing

You will gain hands-on exposure from an early stage and work closely with experienced senior lawyers on complex and commercially significant matters.

The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor in Ireland or another Common Law jurisdiction
  • 1–4 years’ PQE with experience in Competition, EU, Regulatory or Procurement law
  • Strong technical drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client management ability
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in competition and regulatory work
  • Experience gained in a leading law firm, regulatory body or in-house environment would be advantageous
