Job Description
We are hiring for our client, a well-established organisation in Derry/Londonderry, who are seeking to recruit a Temporary Finance Associate to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid finance background who is looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Temporary Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting the finance team with core month-end duties, reporting, and reconciliations. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for extension based on performance and business need.

- Based in Derry/Londonderry with a collaborative Finance team
The Role:
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
- Prepare and post journals
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Conduct variance analysis
- Compile KPIs and support FP&A activities
- Assist with payroll processing and pension scheme administration
- Prepare month-end accruals and support month-end checklists
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects as required
The person:
- Degree qualified in Accountancy or a related discipline
- Currently studying or planning to study for CIMA/ACCA or Accounts Technician qualification
- At least 6 months’ experience in a finance role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong reporting skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in liaising with various teams
The Reward:
- £28,000 per annum
- Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–12pm
