Job Title: Future Power Markets Analysis Manager
Location: Belfast (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

We are hiring for our client, a leading electricity transmission system operator, seeking an experienced Future Power Markets Analysis Manager to lead a team of analysts and support the strategic development of the electricity market in Northern Ireland. This is a pivotal leadership role within the Networks and Innovation Directorate, responsible for delivering critical analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight that will directly impact the future of the all-island power market. The Role:

• Lead, manage, and develop a skilled team of analysts supporting strategic energy market development

• Plan and deliver departmental objectives through technical reports, studies, and decision-making data

• Coordinate with stakeholders including government departments, regulatory authorities, and market operators

• Drive innovation across cross-border electricity markets and support transformation projects

• Guide business readiness for market changes through analytical insight and policy influence

• Oversee complex projects ensuring alignment with regulatory and business goals

• Stay ahead of energy market trends and provide strategic input to future market frameworks

The Person:

• Third level qualification with at least 8 years of relevant commercial experience

• Proven leadership of technical teams and delivery of large-scale analytical projects

• Deep understanding of power markets design, modelling, and regulatory environments

• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and complex data analysis

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights for a broad audience

• Desirable experience with SEM, TSOs, or European energy markets and regulations
