Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary up to €60,000
An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global manufacturing company based in Monaghan. Reporting to the Head of Design you will lead design projects from conception to completion

The Role:
- Develop new designs from initial concept to implementation and improve existing designs.
- Work with sales team to visit customer sites to confirm customers equipment requirements.
- Implementation and maintenance of Lean systems for production process.
- Work closely with our production team during the manufacturing process.
- Creation of BOM’s
- Verify designs using traditional analytical methods in conjunction with dynamic and finite element analysis software.
- Asses and implement continuous improvement for production process.
The Person:
- Degree educated in a relevant engineering related subject
- 3 years’ experience in a similar design role with experience of managing projects from start to finish
- Experience using SolidWorks
