Job Title: BMS Design Engineer – All Levels (Dublin Based)
Description:
We are hiring on behalf of our client, for a BMS Design Engineer specialising in Electrical CAD design. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in Dublin, collaborating with a highly skilled engineering team on the design of advanced Building Management System (BMS) panels. You will play a key role in developing detailed electrical designs and schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality technical documentation.

The Role:
- Create detailed electrical designs of BMS panels using CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or WSCAD.
- Design and size MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers), transformers, and 24V power supplies for BMS panels.
- Develop Input/Output (I/O) wiring diagrams to integrate seamlessly with the engineering team’s requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including panel schedules, bills of materials, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
The Person:
- Education: Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as an Electrical CAD Technician, with a focus on BMS panel design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, WSCAD) for electrical design.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, including wiring I/O, MCB sizing, transformers, and power supplies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve electrical design issues.
- Advantage: Experience with Trend or Tridium is a plus but not essential.
