About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join a leading consumer foods company in Ireland. As a key member of the technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality policies and supporting the efficient operation of technical functions. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, your role will be pivotal in maintaining high standards across the organization.

 

Role Overview:

The client are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join their dynamic technical team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with quality policies and procedures, and supporting the smooth operation of the technical functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general administrative activities within the technical function.
  • Review and maintain technical documentation and food safety management systems to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with legislative and industry standards.
  • Review and maintain micro analysis certificates, checking against requirements and identifying any adverse trends.
  • Coordinate with department heads on improvement projects, audit closures, process changes, and training needs.
  • Manage the master file and oversee monthly audit sign-offs with various departments.
  • Maintain accurate records for all technical functions and ensure proper filing.
  • Track in-house activities and manage tasks and projects using spreadsheets.
  • Input and analyze company data, including non-conformances and trend data.
  • Generate weekly management reports and assist in traceability exercises.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • 3rd level qualification in a food-related discipline.
  • Proven track record in a similar technical or administrative role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
  • Action-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level) and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
