This opportunity has arisen due to consistent growth, with a robust project pipeline extending into 2025. The Role:
As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that building projects comply with regulations and industry standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing building plans for compliance with regulations and legislation.
  • Conducting site inspections and preparing detailed reports.
  • Issuing necessary certificates, notices, and ensuring defects are rectified.
  • Maintaining detailed project records in the database.
  • Supporting trainee and assistant building control surveyors.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

The Person:
The ideal candidate for this Building Inspector role will:

  • Be a Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., RICS, CABE, CIOB), or working towards it.
  • Hold Registered Building Inspector (RBI) Level 2 or higher status.
  • Have experience within the construction industry, particularly in plan appraisal and site inspection for residential developments.
  • Be client-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of relevant standards, legislation, and environmental issues.
  • Be organised, able to manage a varied workload, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess strong IT skills, with the ability to utilise various software tools.
