Job Title: Latent Defect Underwriter

The successful candidate will be instrumental in evaluating and mitigating risks to ensure comprehensive insurance coverage for a diverse range of properties.

The Role:
- Risk Evaluation: Assess applications for latent defect insurance coverage, meticulously evaluating risk factors and utilizing the Insurers Binding Agreement to set premiums.
- Underwriting Scope: Collaborate with Technical Underwriting to manage risks across various property types.
- Operational Excellence: Handle new quotation enquiries, adjustments, and maintain effective liaison with brokers and technical surveyors.
The Person:
- Experience: Minimum of three years in underwriting, with a preference for experience in latent defects cover or financial underwriting.
- Skills: Strong numerical and verbal reasoning abilities, excellent organisational skills, and effective negotiation capabilities.
- Qualifications: A solid understanding of underwriting principles and the general insurance market.
