Finance Manager Maternity FTC – International Law Firm

I am delighted to be retained by a leading International Legal Firm in Belfast who are seeking to hire an experienced Finance Manager for a Maternity Cover 12 month FTC, particularly interested in candidates that are coming with good corporate or professional services experience. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience from Big Four or similar sized firms. This position will be a key hire in to a large wider team.

The Role:

• Responsible for the Financial operations, AP, Payroll and Interfirm invoicing/settlement
• Responsible for Statutory/Tax Compliance, VAT, Payroll and entity level taxes
• Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions in management and statutory ledgers
• Reviewing outputs from Accounts Payable, Banking and Accounts receivable
• Responsible for the financial reporting, including resolution of any queries or issues
• Support local audits
• Responsible for relationships and cash flow management

The Person:

• Newly Qualified Accountant with 2yrs of commercial experience PQE within Big Four or Similar
• ACA Chartered or ACCA Certified Accountant
• Strong Project Management skills
• Advanced MS Excel skills, Accounting packages
• Ability to handle a high volume of work, demonstrating excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for building relationships, influencing upwards and laterally, taking ownership of tasks, and keeping colleagues informed of progress. 
• High level of commercial acumen
• Understanding of GAAP, IFRS and general accounting principles
