An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a thriving and expanding Private Client Department. Based in Luton, this role offers the chance to work with a dynamic team, providing expert legal advice and services to a diverse client base. The Role:

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will:

  • Develop and manage a client portfolio through effective marketing, social media, and networking.
  • Draft and manage legal documentation, including wills, living wills, probate applications, LPAs, trusts, and Court of Protection matters.
  • Oversee the administration of estates and provide advice on HMRC inheritance rules to maximise client entitlements.
  • Conduct client meetings, prepare detailed notes, and manage client expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Handle new client enquiries and perform relevant searches.
  • Manage case files efficiently and ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
  • Participate in CPD activities, marketing initiatives, charity events, webinars, podcasts, and legal clinics.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Substantial experience (10+ years) in Private Client work within a legal practice.
  • A strong desire to progress to Partner status.
  • A meticulous approach to work, ensuring high standards and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Lexcel requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with a wide range of clients.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in case management systems, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to meet targets and adapt to change.
  • A courteous, professional, and empathetic approach, particularly when supporting vulnerable clients.
  • A valid driving licence and flexibility to travel between offices as required.
