An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Supply Planning Manager to join a leading organisation within the food production sector. This role will focus on managing the Supply Planning team within the Pork division, ensuring robust and efficient supply plans are in place across multiple sites. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimising supply chain processes, improving productivity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role:
As the Supply Planning Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop the Pork Supply Planning team, overseeing raw material supply through to finished goods.
- Ensure timely and effective supply plans across multiple sites, including GB Sliced Cooked Meats and Bacon facilities.
- Collaborate with site managers to understand and address capacity challenges, ensuring optimal production efficiency.
- Work closely with the Carcass Balance team to align supply with demand, maximising meat availability and grade utilisation.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of current planning systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing more efficient processes.
- Partner with site schedulers to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve line yields, and optimise residual and trim generation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and material quality.
- Support cross-functional collaboration as part of the NIRF process to evaluate new business opportunities.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in production planning management within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and basic programming skills.
- A track record of driving continuous improvement and optimising planning systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple sites.
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
