Job Title: Project Manager – Machine Building / Automation
Description:
We are hiring on behalf of our client, a highly respected machine builder and automation specialist based in Cavan, who supply into the Medical Device, Food & Beverage, and Automotive sectors. With a very healthy order book and significant repeat business, this is a company that is scaling with purpose and success.
As part of this continued growth, they now seek to appoint a Project Manager to take full ownership of delivering bespoke automation and machine build projects. This is a high-impact role for a driven, commercially aware project management professional who can elevate the structure, delivery, and client engagement processes across the project lifecycle.

The Role:
• Take full project ownership from kick-off through delivery – budget, planning, resourcing and execution
• Liaise directly with customers and internal technical teams to manage scope, timelines, and quality
• Drive project delivery schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement project frameworks and reporting tools
• Act as a key customer contact and brand ambassador throughout the delivery phase
The Person:
• Previous experience in project management within machine building, special purpose machinery, or automation is essential
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to manage complex technical discussions
• Comfortable managing budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams
• Brings energy, ownership, and structure to project delivery
• Existing network in automation or Med/Food/Auto sectors would be a plus
The Reward:
• €60,000 - €70,000 depending on experience, with flexibility for the ideal candidate
