Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Description:
We are hiring for our client, a well-established and expanding company in the water industry, who are seeking to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer. Based at their Carlow head office, this is a full-time, permanent role offering an exciting opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for project delivery. This position is ideal for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer or a trade-qualified electrician looking to develop a long-term career in electrical project management.

The Role:

Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project delivery
-
Liaise with suppliers and ensure quotations meet project specifications
-
Prepare technical documentation, submissions and client reports
-
Generate and update project programmes and schedules
-
Coordinate site works, including sub-contractors and internal teams
-
Develop Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Quality Control procedures

Ensure site safety compliance with HSA regulations
-
Supervise on-site works and attend audits and client meetings
-
Manage project costs, change orders and documentation
-
Compile O&M manuals and maintain full contract control
The Person:
-
3–5 years’ experience in an Electrical Project Engineering role
-
Trade-qualified electricians with project experience also encouraged to apply

Water/wastewater industry experience advantageous but not essential
-
Strong AutoCAD capability to revise and coordinate technical drawings
-
Experience in plant design, commissioning, and managing contractors
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
-
Flexible, practical, and proactive approach with strong commercial acumen
