About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and career-minded individual to join a leading food manufacturing organization as a Technical Account Manager in Dungannon. In this role, you will collaborate with our commercial, technical, and NPD teams to manage technical liaison with key UK supermarket accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical contact between customer technical teams and internal departments, managing information related to food safety, quality, legality, and customer brand standards.
  • Oversee raw material, product specifications, and Quality Attribute Sheets for relevant products.
  • Collaborate with a customer-facing team, including commercial and NPD contacts, to support customer account development.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure customer requirements are clearly conveyed and adhered to.
  • Manage and report on relevant technical KPIs to both the organization and its customers.
  • Communicate technical business plans and oversee associated projects.
  • Utilize and manage data within customer information management systems, including shelf-life, raw material specifications, risk assessments, and other due diligence information.
  • Conduct product checks and inspections, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, and report findings accordingly.
  • Address non-conformances and collaborate with management to implement corrective actions.
  • Review product artwork ahead of launches to ensure labels meet customer, technical, and legal requirements.
  • Work with NPD on product presentations, approvals, production handovers, and launches.
  • Maintain and update relevant retail price lists, communicating changes to the business.
  • Participate in the Allergen Management Programme, ensuring raw materials comply with customer, legal, and organizational requirements, alongside risk assessments and record-keeping.
  • Collect and analyze data on key performance indicators such as customer complaints and sales, managing complaint reduction programs in collaboration with site management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role within the food industry or food manufacturing.
  • HND in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the FMCG supply chain, quality assurance, and the UK retail industry, with preference given to candidates with experience in red meat and major UK multiples.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, Allergen Management systems, and food labeling is a definite advantage.
  • Proven track record in handling key aspects of the role as outlined above.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and visits to other sites and retail stores throughout the UK and Ireland.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with major retailers and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • High motivation, career-driven mindset, and self-discipline with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in PC applications.
