Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

Description:
We are hiring for our client in Dungannon who wish to appoint a Lead Electrical Engineer. This is a pivotal leadership role, managing a small team of 3–4 Electrical Engineers, focused on designing mainly static 3 phase installations and leading critical projects.

The ideal Lead Electrical Engineer will bring:

1. Strong experience in designing/specifying 3 phase control panels (essential)

2. Proven ability to lead or mentor a team of electrical engineers

3. Project management experience, delivering on time and within budget

4. Ideally, past exposure to the water waste recycling industry

The Role:

• Manage and provide direction to a team of 3–4 electrical engineers

• Lead design activity for static 3 phase installations and associated control panels

• Oversee new product development projects and ensure delivery against key objectives

• Provide technical expertise on PLC/HMI software (IFM & Allen Bradley) and electrical control systems

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation, supporting “Zero Harm” culture

• Contribute to cost reduction and product reliability improvements

• Liaise with global engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders

• Occasionally support equipment commissioning, installation and testing

The Person:

• Degree educated in an Engineering or Science discipline

• Essential: hands-on experience in designing/specifying 3 phase control panels

• Strong leadership skills, ideally with experience leading a small engineering team

• 3+ years’ experience in project management with on-time delivery track record

• Familiarity with water waste recycling projects (desirable)

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, automation, CAN bus/Modbus networks

• Heavy equipment industry experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills; independent and self-motivated
