Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer
Description:
We are hiring for our client in Dungannon who wish to appoint a Lead Electrical Engineer. This is a pivotal leadership role, managing a small team of 3–4 Electrical Engineers, focused on designing mainly static 3 phase installations and leading critical projects.
The ideal Lead Electrical Engineer will bring:

Strong experience in designing/specifying 3 phase control panels (essential)

Proven ability to lead or mentor a team of electrical engineers

Project management experience, delivering on time and within budget

Ideally, past exposure to the water waste recycling industry

The Role:

Manage and provide direction to a team of 3–4 electrical engineers

Lead design activity for static 3 phase installations and associated control panels

Oversee new product development projects and ensure delivery against key objectives
-
Provide technical expertise on PLC/HMI software (IFM & Allen Bradley) and electrical control systems
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation, supporting “Zero Harm” culture
-
Contribute to cost reduction and product reliability improvements
-
Liaise with global engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders
-
Occasionally support equipment commissioning, installation and testing
The Person:
-
Degree educated in an Engineering or Science discipline
-
Essential: hands-on experience in designing/specifying 3 phase control panels
-
Strong leadership skills, ideally with experience leading a small engineering team
-
3+ years’ experience in project management with on-time delivery track record
-
Familiarity with water waste recycling projects (desirable)

Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, automation, CAN bus/Modbus networks

Heavy equipment industry experience preferred

Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills; independent and self-motivated
