We are hiring for our client – a well-established and growing food manufacturing business – who are seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician at their modern facility in Portlaoise. The successful Electrical Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring all electrical systems and machinery run efficiently, safely and with minimal downtime. The role involves a combination of planned preventative maintenance and fast-paced fault diagnosis, supporting operational excellence in a busy production setting.

The Role:
• Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
• Rapid fault finding and diagnostics to minimise unplanned downtime
• Ensure compliance with internal and external health & safety standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and process optimisations
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to meet site targets
The Person:
• Fully qualified Electrician – time-served electrical apprenticeship essential
• Hands-on experience maintaining production or industrial machinery – food industry experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
• Flexible and team-oriented approach to working in a fast-paced environment
