Job Description

Hunter Savage are working in partnership with an industry leading wholesaler based in Newry on the appointment of a Warehouse Operations Manager.

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the entire Warehouse & Logistics operation to ensure efficiency, cost-effective storage, distribution, and transportation of goods.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, including goods in, warehousing, inventory control, order fulfilment, and shipping
• Manage and mentor a team of up to 9 at any one time ensuring the are prepped and motivated for the day ahead
• Provide regular feedback, complete performance reviews, set goals, and support professional growth
• Work closely with the Inventory Manager to implement best practices for stock accuracy, rotation, and damage minimisation
• Monitor and manage budgets for warehouse
• Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors, carriers, and suppliers
• Track, analyse, and report key performance metrics, including order accuracy, on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and other KPIs
• Develop and implement warehouse and logistics strategies aligning with company goals
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards promoting a culture of safety implementing preventative measures to protect the well-being of all employees and stakeholders

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing or super4vising a busy warehouse
• A strong leader with a proven track record of succeed in successfully managing a team
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management systems as well as all Microsoft office packages
• Proven track record of success with implementing process improvements
