Hunter Savage are working in partnership with an fast growing bathroom and plumbing supplier on the appointment of an ambitious and energetic Procurement Lead.

In your new role: 

• Manage and mentor a small team of two Junior Buyers ensuring they are prepped and motivated for the day ahead
• Procurement of a range of components from an existing portfolio of suppliers across Europe and China frequently monitoring performance and quality
• Ensure all products and materials are available for immediate dispatch to meet customer demand
• A strong focus on continuous improvement, building on existing frameworks and implementing new ways of working, including the introduction of forecasting, demand planning and inventory optimization software and stronger S&OP practices
• Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Frequently liaise and work closely with the sales, procurement and stores departments
• Deliver reports on stock, inventory budgets, forecasts and targeting areas to improve
• Take the lead on cross functional activities to reduce slow moving, aged, obsolete & unsaleable stock

What you will need to succeed: 

• At least 3 years’ experience working at a similar level within a fast paced environment
• A methodical thinker with a keen attention to detail
• Proficient with various software systems as well as all Microsoft Office package (particularly Excel)
