We are hiring for our client, a leading MEP Contractor, seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Design Manager to join their team in Ballymena. The Role:
- Oversee the design and integration of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, and safety systems, ensuring cost-efficiency and quality.
- Manage the MEP design team, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and mentoring team members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Review and ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Drive Value Engineering (VE) processes while maintaining compliance and project objectives.
- Support tendering processes with technical expertise and develop engineering reports for project bids.
The Person:
- Third-level education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in managing design or engineering teams within the construction sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM modeling is a plus.
- Membership in IET, IHEEM, or CIBSE (preferred but not essential).
