The Role:

In the role, the successful candidate will lead the Maintenance Team and assume full responsibility for the effective running of maintenance and engineering developments of the site.

Duties include:

• Oversee and monitor plant, maintenance, and engineering developments

• Ensure the safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitors
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating in compliance with Health & Safety requirements
• Lead the Engineering Team to achieve targets/KPIs on a daily basis and optimise overall performance in terms of output, quality, costs, etc
• Planning and scheduling of maintenance works to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimize downtime
• Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
• Troubleshooting using PLC programs
• Closely monitor line and machine performance
• Coordinate Electrical and Mechanical Trouble shooting as well as Electro-Mechanical repairs
• Preventative and Predictive maintenance routines
• Drive correct usage, maintenance and development of all production systems
• Update the maintenance management system.
• Management of Maintenance budget spend on labour and materials

The Person:

• Engineering Qualification
• At least 2 Years supervisory / management experience within a maintenance department
• At Least 3 years manufacturing experience preferably with FMCG experience
• Experience in operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector
• Proven experience of knowing the value of and balancing maintenance and project delivery with production and operational efficiency
• Experience in a capital project, handling vendors and contractors.
