Job Opportunity: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Hilden, Monaghan

Salary: Up to €60,000

Type: Full-time

About the Role:

My client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join a 
leading food production company in Hilden, Monaghan. The successful candidate will 
be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety 
policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and 
procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and 
legislation.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
• Investigate and report on any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective 
actions as needed.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the 
organization.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities and incidents.
• Lead health and safety committee meetings and ensure effective 
communication of safety issues and initiatives.
• Stay updated on new regulations and best practices in health and safety.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role, preferably in 
the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective solutions.
• Relevant health and safety certifications or qualifications.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
