Hunter Savage are delighted to assist a returning client located in North Dublin in their search for a Financial Accountant fluent in both English and German languages, to become a valued member of their team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

• Oversight of entity portfolios and ledgers, ensuring production of monthly, quarterly, and annual group reports.
• Coordination of month-end closing activities, collaborating with PTP, OTC, and tax teams for timely completion.
• Accurate processing of ledger transactions for month-end closure.
• Analysis of variances in balance sheet accounts during month-end closing, with detailed commentary provided.
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register, including compliance with IFRS 16 and management of capitalization, depreciation, and amortisation.
• Management of inventory and cost accounting, oversight of prepayments and accruals, and adherence to account reconciliation procedures.

The Person:

• Ideally possess around 5 years' experience in external audit, consultancy firms, or within the reporting department of an international group, or in a GBS/SSC structure.
• Hold an Accounting Qualification and/or Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration, with a strong interest in and affinity with IT and Business processes.
• Additional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Full fluency in English and German (Essential), with proficiency in a third language (Dutch, Spanish) being advantageous.
• Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA or other ERP systems is necessary.
