Tax Manager – Part-Time
We are hiring for our client, a growing specialist tax advisory business based in Belfast, as they seek to appoint an experienced Part-Time Tax Manager.

The Role
As Part-Time Tax Manager, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across a broad range of UK businesses
- Provide technical advice across Corporation Tax and R&D tax relief
- Review tax work, claims and advisory reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support the preparation and submission of Corporation Tax returns and R&D claims
- Build strong relationships and develop a clear understanding of each client’s needs
- Identify opportunities to provide additional tax support and commercially focused advice
- Work closely with senior leadership on complex client matters
- Support and mentor junior team members where required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant UK tax legislation
- Attend occasional client meetings, with minimal travel expected
The Person
The successful Part-Time Tax Manager will be a technically capable tax professional who can manage client relationships and work independently within a specialist advisory environment.
Essential Criteria
- CTA and/or ACA qualification, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
- Ability to manage priorities and take ownership of client work
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience at Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager or Associate Director level
- Experience within accountancy practice, tax advisory, consultancy or a specialist tax business
- Experience reviewing the work of junior tax professionals
- An established professional or referral network
Flexible Working
This business is open to agreeing a part-time arrangement that works for both parties. This could include shorter working days, reduced hours across the week or a schedule that accommodates school pick-ups and other personal commitments.
The focus will be on finding the right person and creating a sustainable working pattern around their availability.
