Banking SolicitorÂ
Hunter Savage is working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Banking Solicitor at NQ level or above.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded and collaborative finance team, working on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions for an impressive client base.
The position would suit a newly qualified solicitor who completed a strong Banking and Finance seat during their traineeship, a junior associate with direct banking experience, or a solicitor with a strong transactional background who is keen to specialise in finance.
The firm is particularly interested in candidates who have trained or gained experience within a commercial law firm.
The Role
Working closely with experienced partners and associates, the successful candidate will advise both lenders and borrowers across a varied banking and finance practice.
The work will include:
- Fund finance facilities and structures, including private credit and direct lending
- Leveraged and acquisition finance transactions
- Real estate investment and development finance
- Corporate lending, refinancings and restructurings
- Enforcement strategies and standstill arrangements
- Domestic and cross-border financing transactions
- Drafting and negotiating finance and security documentation
- Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
- Collaborating with colleagues across other practice areas and international offices
The role will provide exposure to high-quality, visible transactions and the opportunity to develop strong technical, transactional and client-facing experience.
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Qualification as a solicitor in Ireland, England and Wales, or another relevant common-law jurisdiction
- Banking and finance experience gained through a traineeship seat or post-qualified role
- Alternatively, a strong transactional background with transferable experience in areas such as corporate, commercial, real estate or investment funds
- Training or experience gained within a commercial law firm
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating transactional documents
- Strong transaction-management, communication and organisational skills
- A sound understanding of commercial and financial considerations
- A collaborative and commercially minded approach
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in Banking and Finance
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and collegiate finance practice offering:
- High-quality domestic and international work
- Exposure to both lender-side and borrower-side transactions
- Direct access to experienced partners and senior lawyers
- Strong professional development and progression opportunities
- A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
