The Role

A well‑established and growing organisation with a significant operational presence in Newry is seeking to appoint a Buyer to support its site‑based operations.

This role will focus on the procurement of indirect goods and services, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply, cost control, and adherence to internal processes. Operating within a structured and regulated environment, the Buyer will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the procurement of indirect goods and services to support site operations
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements
  • Raising and progressing purchase orders in line with internal procedures
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolution of issues
  • Monitoring spend and supporting cost‑effective purchasing decisions
  • Ensuring purchasing activity aligns with internal compliance and governance standards
  • Supporting continuous improvement across procurement processes

The Person

  • Previous experience in a buying or purchasing role
  • Comfortable working in a structured or regulated environment
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

The Rewards

  • Salary between £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
  • 10% performance‑related bonus
  • 22 days holiday, increasing with service
