We are hiring for our client, a well-established and friendly law firm in East Belfast, to appoint a Legal Bookkeeper to join their team.

This Legal Bookkeeper role will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function within the firm, ensuring compliance with legal accounting regulations while supporting the wider team. The successful Legal Bookkeeper will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing client accounts and supporting billing processes.

The Role

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records
• Maintain client and office accounts in line with regulatory requirements
• Process invoices, payments and bank reconciliations
• Manage billing processes and support fee earners
• Handle client account transactions and ensure compliance
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end processes
• Liaise with external accountants where required
• Maintain accurate and organised financial systems

The Person

• Previous experience as a Legal Bookkeeper or Legal Cashier
• Strong understanding of legal accounting rules and client accounts
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong numeracy and organisational skills
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Reliable, professional and trustworthy
