This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on designing and optimising electrical drive systems and control panel solutions that power advanced industrial and mobile equipment. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the design and development of high-performance electrical systems from concept through to production. The Role:
• Design and develop electrical drive systems and associated control panels for industrial or mobile equipment.
• Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software.
• Carry out design calculations, modelling, and validation to ensure system performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and production teams to achieve seamless system integration.
• Select appropriate components, ensuring designs meet safety and efficiency standards.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems.
• Provide technical support during build, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
The Person:
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in electrical system design, power systems, or control panel engineering.
• Proficient in electrical design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Understanding of motor control, power distribution, and protection systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
