Job Description
We are hiring for a leading supplier of premium food brands to the retail and foodservice markets across Ireland. They are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee sales, purchasing, and supplier relationships. This is a key position within the senior management team, responsible for driving revenue growth and managing key accounts.

The Role:
- Manage supplier price increases, rebates, and settlement discounts across all customer groups
- Oversee product database management, from new additions to delisting
- Achieve gross margin expectations in key categories, identifying margin opportunities
- Manage haulage costs for imported products and maximise revenue opportunities with suppliers
- Ensure stock levels meet demand without overstocking and minimise wastage
- Lead product introduction, ensuring new ranges complement existing offerings
- Handle customer pricing, new listings, de-listings, and promotional activity management
- Organise customer trade shows and promotional events
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and maintain regular reviews with suppliers and customers
- Lead the commercial team, including distributors and sales personnel, to meet company targets
The Person – What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar commercial or sales management role, preferably within food distribution
- Strong numeracy, verbal communication, and literacy skills
- Proven ability to manage key accounts, suppliers, and purchasing operations
- Good team player, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience with pricing, promotional management, and product lifecycle
- High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
