A fantastic opportunity has become available with our client, a highly reputable Law Firm based approx. 15 mins from Belfast.  This position is ideal for an experienced Legal Executive or a Paralegal who has worked in an employment department previously, or a Paralegal Graduate who has completed internships in this field and wishes to progress their career in the area of Employment Law. 


Reporting to a Senior Solicitor and the Director, the successful Paralegal will work diligently on high volume case files, from opening through to closing, building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing an excellent client experience.


Duties will include:

  • Proactively manage and progress own workload in line with service level agreements, best practice and internal policies and procedures
  • Reviewing documents to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Taking instruction from clients and updating case files timely and accurately
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Preparing bundles for trial
  • Legal research, updating Senior Solicitor on findings
  • Assisting on Counsel where required
  • Dealing with third parties to include ACAS/LRA
  • Closing of case files, assisting with billing/invoicing
  • All other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the department

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Law or 2+ years’ experience as a Paralegal/Legal Executive.  Experience working in an Employment Law department will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of the steps involved in preparing briefs/bundles for trial
  • Exceptional attention to detail when handling high volume case files
