Job Description

Due to continued success, our Client, a global market leader in their field, is keen to recruit an experienced Senior Benefits Consultant.  This is a new, permanent Senior Benefits/Reward Manager/Specialist job, based in Co Antrim and responsible for the European region. 

The Senior Benefits Consultant will report to the Director of Global Benefits and act as the lead subject matter expert across the European region.  The successful Senior Benefits Consultant will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of comprehensive employee benefit and retirement programs as well as policies and procedures, all of which will align with the company’s Total Reward strategy. 

 

The Role

  • Ensure programs and policies are being administered effectively and in accordance with the organisation’s reward strategy
  • Strategize on benefit plan renewals throughout the European region. Analyse market data to compare insurer proposals and quotations
  • Manage local and global surveys on current benefits trends, pricing and policies
  • Conduct cost analyses and prepare to present to management before selecting benefit program changes and/or new benefits
  • Manage the initiation of annual benefit rates for each country in Europe
  • Manage the design and implementation of programs eg accident and health insurance cover, retirement and pension plans, income continuance holidays and vacation time
  • Perform regular checks on compliance regulations and provide change recommendations
  • Support M&A integration efforts and initiatives which require comparative analysis of benefit programs and financial impact which may require the planning , developing and redesign of company benefits programs
  • Provide counsel and communication on benefits programs to business management, HR and employees
  • Develop and manage internal stakeholder and external vendor relationships
  • Support the Total Rewards team on global projects as needed

 

The Person

  • 3rd level Degree qualification, essential
  • Minimum of 4-5 years experience with benefit programmes 
  • Knowledge of regulatory/legislative requirements in Europe
  • Experience with M&A integration initiatives and activities associated with the analysis and comparison of benefit plans and policies and legislative requirements
  • Strong organisation, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong communication skills; providing continuous updates to stakeholders and manager
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
