Job Description

Our well established Client, based in the Cooktown/Co Tyrone area, urgently wishes to recruit an experienced, Part Time HR Officer/HR Generalist.  This is a new, permanent HR and Engagement job for the growing business.  The successful HR Generalist will be stand alone, supporting a workforce of circa 100.  The HR Officer will work 3-4 days per week, flexible pattern split between office and home working. 


The Role

  • Stand alone, part time HR Generalist role
  • Provide HR advice on a full range of HR issues
  • Attendance management
  • Manage end to end recruitment & selection campaigns
  • Manage the full employee life cycle – letter of offer, right to work checks, contracts, inductions, onboarding, right through to exit interviews
  • Performance management cycle – probation reviews and performance improvement plans
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures and ensure their consistent application across the business
  • Learning & development activities – design and operate the apprenticeship program, graduate development program and leadership program
  • Work with line management to identify training requirements
  • Establish relationships with training providers
  • Engagement & wellbeing initiatives


The Person

  • Degree level education
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar HR generalist role, essential
  • Experience working in a stand alone or fast paced, commercial, production environment
  • Good knowledge and experience of employment law
  • Significant experience of using MS Office
  • Well developed organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • Driving license and access to transport
